Grapes of Wrath

This isn't about Australia, but: Why is the book, The Grapes of Wrath, called, The Grapes of Wrath.  Are there grapes?  And are they mad?

I read The Grapes of Wrath when I was a school kid. It was a good read. But there were no mad grapes in the book. I can't remember what happened, except for a family moving from OK to CA, and they were having a hard time.

Well, Casey, that's an interesting question! Now I will have to reread the book! I agree with Dad that the family was having a hard time in the dustbowl. Maybe the grapes symbolized the lack of food and the word wrath represented how they felt!! Keep up the excellent questions! I know I can't sign your solstice book, but I hope you won't forget me!!! Actually, it's about a group of massive, overgrown grapes that go on a rampage in Oklahoma, and soak up all the water, causing the dust bowl, and then eat all the bankers causing the great Depression. It's historical non-fiction.
